Ioannis Bogris

Lieutenant Colonel Ioannis Bogris is a Greek Army officer (Artillery) and a military historian. He has served at the Hellenic Army General Staff/Army History Directorate as a researcher, author and editor. He is a graduate of the Hellenic Army Academy (class of 2003) and of the Department of History and Ethnology of Democritus University of Thrace, with a specialisation in History. He continued his studies at the Ionian University, from which he received a Master’s degree in Methodology on Criticism and Publication of Historical and Archival Sources. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate at the Department of History and Archaeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His thesis is on the Greek Army military intelligence during the Greek-Turkish War (1919-1922). He has published articles on the Greek Army’s participation in the First World War and the 1919-1922 Greek-Turkish War.
